DIY Flashlight - Make your own LED flashlight project by Deogani

This come from my little hack site:

Old/Used Li-iOn (Lithium-iON) Batteries.


4-6 pcs Used LED bulbs/lights. -super bright white


Used Sliding switch

Used Charger Port


Contact Cement (Mighty Bond)

Electronic Wires

Electrical Tape


Used Cigarette Foil

2 +/- .2 Ohms Resistor 1 watt Capacity

Notice that there is a housing. it has been made to protect the internal components from accidental drop. i used old cd, cut the desired size and glued to fit the battery.

Notes


- ang tester po ay para matest kung ok ang battery.

3.5v-4.5v 500mah- 1,050mAh (1,050 effective) po ang requirement.

- ang led dapat nailaw.

-switch pag naka-on and charging port dapat may continuity.

- hindi basta basta ang pagsasalang ng led. parallel ang settings natin dahil 3.5v lamang naman ang kalimitan sa mga battery.

maging gabay sa inyo ang mga calculator na ito upang magkaroon kayo ng idea.

- [U]sobrang milliampere or too much voltage can burn your led bulb/s[/U] sayang kaya may nakaseries na resistor kaso balewala ang resistor kung mali ang distribution ng electricity.

- una po munang pagkabitin ang mga led (parallel) lahat ng negative tapos lahat ng positive terminals. gupitin muna ang mga sobrang paa.
yung tama lang wag masyado maikli. tapos pagkabitin ang mga nasabing terminal ng mga led sa pamamagitan ng 1 o dalawang pinutol na paa. gamitin ang soldering iron at soldering paste.

sundan nyo na lang ang nasa larawan.

-maging creative at resourceful.

yung usb port at frame ng flashlight sa lighter ay sarili ko na lamang na idea.

- walang overload mechanism ang project na ito dahil kakapal na ang body gawa ng marami ang pyesa nun, may board pa. at para maging on-the-go na rin ang flashlight natin kaya maging aware na lang tayo sa charging time.

Operation and Handling

i can assure kung parehas sa project na ito ang magagawa mo, i mean at least, tatagal ng 3-4 days normal use ang malakas na ilaw ng flashlight mo.


24 hours naman na straight walang patayan basta full charge at depende sa quality ng battery. 6 hours straight to say para hindi ka naman mag expect.

PCharging time is only 15 minutes. Maximum should be 30 minutes.ag sumobra pa jan ayun bili ka na ng bagong battery kung hindi man lumobo yan tiyak saglit na lang ang charge niyan.

pag mahina na ang ilaw pwede ng icharge. 15 minutes or less ok na.

Flaws :

--> Habang nakacharge, pwedeng mapagana ang led lights pero ito ay hindi ko recommended dahil
mapupundi agad ang mga bulbs or else masira ang resistor dahil up to 12 volts ang normal na charger. Be advise not to switch on the flashlight when charging.

--> Walang overload system. the battery is always at high risk extending the charging time from 30 minutes then onwards.
